The location of this place is excellent, just a short 5-minute walk from a university library, and it's conveniently located only 500 feet from the bus stop with a very friendly and welcoming staff.

I booked a room with a very comfy bed, satellite TV, central heating, and a seating area. The private bathroom.

Some of the staff were a bit rude.

The value for money at Pensao Santa Cruz was unbeatable! The room was clean, simple, and exactly as shown in the pictures. The location right on the square with a view of the castle was breathtaking. The staff treated us with genuine friendliness and even helped with our heavy luggage.

Breakfast selection could use a bit more variety.

uncomfortable bed

As bike riders, we loved the convenient location in the centre of the non-medieval part of the city, close to the entrance of the old town. There were plenty of moderate priced restaurants around and even a classical restaurant with original live fado music opposite the hotel. We enjoyed being able to hear the music from the balcony of our room on the fifth floor. The owner of the hotel was very helpful and provided us with valuable advice on good places to visit and eat.

We felt safe and secure during our stay and had no complaints whatsoever.

I stayed at a hotel in the heart of the old city, just steps away from the main square. The location couldn't have been more perfect. I could see the beautiful church from the hallway, and there were plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. The staff were helpful and friendly, making my stay even more enjoyable.

Great position in the heart of the city, close to all major attractions. The owner was extremely friendly and gave us helpful tips on where to eat and what to try. The room, although small, was clean and tidy. The price was very reasonable for the location.

The bathrooms were shared, which was not ideal. The beds were uncomfortable with springs sticking out.
